Mom is resting pretty comfortably, although her fever is kept under control, partially with a cooling vest, which makes her shiver. So they are using a variety of medicines to make her more comfortable. She still is breathing pretty fast, and so they are doing a fair amount of suctioning of her airway to get rid of thick secretions that are clogging things up.
She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, probably in the afternoon, to place the tracheotomy and feeding tube.
Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with Tash and all of you!
Very nice picture. Thank you for all your updates.
Hugs and love,
Barb

Plan to be in around 10:00 tomorrow am. Will give a call.
Thanks for keeping us posted. We are pulling for all of you and Tasha.
Love,
Pauline
Just found out about your blog. You know we’re keeping current through Elaine but your updates are so helpful and written with the knowledge of a physician and concern and love of a son. All of us are thinking of Tasha, you and the family daily. Holding on to all good thoughts.
Kathy and I have kept up through Aunt Elaine, I stopped by the first Sunday after surgery to see her, spent time visiting with Judy and Jesse. Certainly we are so concerned, and constantly keeping her in our thoughts, and hoping for a positive response to what we know is excellent care that she is receiving. We send our love to all of you. I’ve signed up for the auto updates.
Tom,
What a beautiful picture of your mom!
I know the toll this is taking on all of you. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with your entire family, but especially Tash. Thanks to technology for keeping us all connected!
Judy
